| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Friday January 21, 2000 Source: INRAD, Inc. INRAD and APE Form Alliance Northvale, NJ, January 21 -INRAD, Inc. (OTB Bulletin Board: INRD) announced today that it has formed an alliance with APE (Angewandte Physik & Electronik Gmbh, Berlin) wherein INRAD will market a line of state-of-the-art autocorrelators manufactured by APE in Germany. The alliance will be highlighted at Photonics West in San Jose, California January 25-27, where the complete line of instruments will be displayed at the INRAD booth. Autocorrelators are used for measuring laser pulses from ultrafast lasers, with pulse duration in the picosecond and femtosecond ranges. Inrad will be the source for supply of these products to customers in the Americas, Israel, and selected other markets. APE will continue to supply them to customers in Europe and Japan.
